This site and its calculator are operated by Health Matters USA, 7444 SE 114th Ave, Portland, OR 97266 (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Calculator answers: your gender, age, current weight, goal weight, the medication you want to explore, and whether you have already started a GLP-1 medication (and if so, which one, your starting weight, how long you have taken it, and your dose). We also store the results we calculate for you.
  • Contact details: your first name and email address, when you ask us to send your results.
  • Technical and usage data: your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the site that referred you, campaign (UTM) tags, and cookies or similar technologies.

When you use the calculator, we save the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link, and the page you landed on from your first visit, together with your submission. We use this only to learn which channels bring people to the calculator.

Your weight, age, and medication answers are health-related. We use them only to produce your estimate and the related educational emails described below.

How we use it

  • To calculate your estimate and deliver it on screen, as a PDF, and by email.
  • To send you related educational emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site, and to measure how our marketing performs.
  • To connect you with our preferred telehealth partner if you choose to click or call.
  • To comply with the law and enforce our terms.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with the service providers that help us run the site:

  • Hosting and database: Vercel (hosting and site analytics) and Neon (database), which store your calculator answers, results, and contact details.
  • Email: Resend delivers your results email, and Brevo manages our educational email list. Brevo receives your name, email address, and the weight, goal weight, and medication choice from your submission.
  • Advertising measurement: we use the Meta Pixel, which sends Meta page views and a “Lead” event when you view your results, along with technical data such as your IP address, browser details, and cookie identifiers. We do not intentionally send your name, email, or calculator answers to Meta. Under some state laws this kind of advertising measurement may be considered “sharing” for targeted advertising.
  • Our partner: if you click through to our preferred telehealth partner, we pass a lead ID and campaign tags in the link. We do not send your email address. Anything you enter on the partner site is governed by that partner's own privacy policy.
  • Legal and business reasons: authorities when required by law, and a successor if our business is sold or reorganized.

Compensation disclosure

We may receive compensation if you contact or become a customer of a partner referenced on this site. This does not change the price you pay.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for the Meta Pixel and for basic site measurement, and stores a small flag in your browser so the same result is not counted twice. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings. Blocking cookies will not stop the calculator from working.

How long we keep it

We keep calculator submissions and contact details for up to 24 months, then delete or anonymize them. If you unsubscribe, we keep only the minimum needed to honor that request. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. Depending on where you live (for example California, Oregon, Washington, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or sharing, to withdraw consent, and to appeal a decision on your request. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Children

This site is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
